How To Do EFT

THE BASIC RECIPE

1. The Setup
Repeat the following Affirmation (or something similar) three times while continuously tapping the Karate Chop point (see below):
"Even though I have (this problem), I deeply and completely accept myself."

Karate Chop point: This point is located on the side of the hand half way between the base of the little finger and the beginning of the wrist.

2. The Sequence
Tap about 7 times on each of the following energy points while repeating a Reminder Phrase ("this problem") at each point:
EB (Beginning of Eyebrow)
SE (Side of Eye)
UE (Under Eye)
UN (Under Nose)
Ch (Chin)
CB (Beginning of Collarbone)
UA (Under Arm)
Th (Side of Thumb at base of nail)
IF (Side of Index Finger at base of nail)
MF (Side of Middle Finger at base of nail)
BF (Side of Baby Finger at base of nail)
KC (Karate Chop point)

3. Nine Gamut Procedure
This procedure resets the relationship between the brain hemispheres and meridian system. Certain parts of the brain are stimulated when the eyes are moved. Similarly, the right side of the brain (the creative side) is engaged when you hum a song and the left side (the digital side) is engaged when you count.

While holding your head steady, look straight out in front of you and continuously tap on the Gamut point (see below) while performing each of these 9 actions:
(1) Eyes closed (2) Eyes open (3) Eyes hard down right while holding head steady (4) Eyes hard down left while holding head steady (5) Roll eyes in a circle as though your nose was at the center of a clock and you wanted to see all the numbers in order (6) Roll eyes in a circle in the other direction (7) Hum 2 seconds of a song (Happy Birthday works well) (8) Count rapidly from 1 to 5 (9) Hum 2 seconds of a song again.

Gamut point: To locate this point, put your finger on the back of either hand between the knuckles of your ring finger and little finger and move about 1/2 inch toward your wrist.

4. The Sequence
Repeat as outlined in Step 2.

NOTE: In subsequent rounds, adjust the Setup Affirmation and Reminder Phrase to reflect the fact that you are addressing the remaining problem.

Set-up Affirmation: "Even though I still have some of (this problem), I deeply and completely accept myself." Reminder Phrase: "Remaining (problem)"


THE SHORTCUT

1. The Setup
Do the Setup as described in The Basic Recipe.

2. The Sequence
Tap about 7 times on each of the following energy points while repeating a Reminder Phrase at each point:
EB (Beginning of Eyebrow)
SE (Side of Eye)
UE (Under Eye)
UN (Under Nose)
Ch (Chin)
CB (Beginning of Collarbone)
UA (Under Arm)
Top of the Head
